We manage several programs in our chapter that are focused on lending a hand to those in need.
Operation School Bell®
Our oldest and largest outreach program, Operation School Bell provides new clothing, hygiene kits, and shoe vouchers for most students who visit our facility. Learn more about Operation School Bell by clicking here
Awards of $200 each are given to qualified graduating high school students to help with senior year expenses. Students are referred by counselors in 24 Snohomish County High Schools. They fill out an application which is reviewed by Assistance League volunteers.
Everett Community College Scholarships
We work through the Everett Community College Foundation to provide up to 10 scholarships through grants, memorials and availability of funds in the chapter.
Operation Teddy Bear
We provide teddy bears to various agencies in Snohomish County which they distribute to survivors of assault and abuse.
Two programs within Transitional Support provide vouchers to our Thrift Shop for clothing and household items.
- Operation Self Help focuses on referred adults entering the work force and provides vouchers to purchase suitable clothing for job interviews or work.
- Family Assistance Program focuses on displaced families and individuals referred by The Salvation Army, Houring Hope and The Red Cross with vouchers for clothing and household items.
Community Outreach Projects
Specific projects are designed to respond to urgent needs in the community that may arise.
Pass It On Program
Unusable items donated to the Thrift Shop,, or purchased through Operation School Bell ® are distributed to other non-profits that are then passed on to in-need individuals and families.
