Who We Are

We Put Caring and Commitment into Action

Mission Statement:
Assistance League of Everett is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization whose philanthropic programs promote the well-being and self-esteem of children, teens and adults in Snohomish County.

We are a Chapter...

We are one of 120 local chapters within the nationwide network of National Assistance League. Combined, these chapters, which have over 23,000 members, contribute more than 3.2 million service hours to their local communities each year. Operation School Bell®, the signature national program, serves over 300,000 children every year. Since 1958, more than 4 million children have been helped. Each chapter develops philanthropic programs to meet the needs of their local community. At the bottom of this page you can view a video showing the impact of chapters across the nation.

Our chapter was founded in 1965 and currently has around 300 members. Our dedicated members and community volunteers donated over 68,200 hours this past year.

We are Philanthropic...

Our philanthropic programs are focused on lending a helping hand to those in need. Our largest program, Operation School Bell, provides children and teens with a weeks’ worth of new school clothing. Other programs provide financial aid to graduating high school seniors, scholarships to Everett Community College students, clothing and hygiene kits for assault victims, a voucher referral program to shop at our Thrift Shop for displaced individuals and families, and much more.

We are a Membership...

We are a membership based organization and open to those who wish to be of service in our community. Members are encouraged to participate in our philanthropic programs and fundraising activities. Many members volunteer in various ways associated with the Thrift shop, others by working on Estate Sales, along with helping in Operation School Bell, and other philanthropic programs. Training is provided for working in the Thrift Shop and Operation School Bell. There are regular monthly meetings and committees to be involved in too.

We are Located at...

We are located at 5107 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA, in a beautiful cinder block building designed and constructed in 2003, after being displaced from our previous building by the construction of Xfinity Arena in downtown Everett. This building houses our Thrift Shop and Operation School Bell facilities, and provides office, meeting, events space and storage area. A grant from the Snohomish County PUD allowed us to incorporate a solar based power generation system on the south side of the building, which supplies electrical energy to the public power grid.

We are Auxiliaries...

We have two auxiliaries that provide flexible opportunities for members to volunteer and serve in.
